Lyn,
The book is great. It is very professionally done.
We’ll be praying for you on your book tour.
Lyn,
I just wanted to write and tell you that I think the book is WONDERFUL! I am loving it and it is hard to stop reading. You did a marvelous job–really First Class. Love, Carol
We have a review of Putting A Face On America this week at TitleTrakk.com:

Hi Lyn,
I’ll always remember meeting each other the summer of 2007 in the Yogi Bear RV Park. I read your book during our travels that summer to Madison, WI, Seattle, Las Vegas and then on home to Grove, OK. What courage you and your fellow travelers have in accomplishing your 4,000 + mile hike across America, praying for all of us. Keep up the good work. America needs many more folks like you Lyn to pass on your very important messages.
Hope to see you soon.
Love, Joan and family
I thank the Lord for bringing you into the store (Noah’s Ark Christian Books & Gifts) today. It was such a blessing to speak to you and share with you what I feel the Lord has been putting on my heart about walking across the country and spreading the gospel. I look forward to following the progress of your next walk and am excited to see what the Lord will do from here.
I left a comment on here yesterday (the 19th of Feb) but I don’t know if it took or not. Anyway, I did buy a copy of your book. Fascinating reading, and I’m only into Idaho! Is there any say I could find out your forthcoming walk’s journey as you have it planned out? I’m praying alot about what the Lord has put in my heart concerning walking. I’d also like to find out more about the logistics and the details of your walk. I wished we only had more time to talk. My wife Kathy is receptive to the ideas running around right now. We’ll just keep praying and seeking the Lord’s direction in all of this.
I’d love to hear from y’all soon.
In Christ,
Vince & Kathy Schlickbernd
God bless you, it really does seem that all that is left to do about this election and also our community elections is to pray for guidance for the leaders and for ourselves to know what path to take. I envy you and thank you for what you are doing. Of course, it takes a woman to do this. God be with you on your journey, you certainly will be in my daily prayers. Take care, there are so strange people out there nowadays.
I met you Sunday 03/02/08 and have started reading your book. I really find it inspirational and appreciate your prayer walk. Praying for you in Florida as you start your new journey. Toni
nice meeting you here in St. Marys ( movie from here: http://www.stmaryswelcome.com/stmarysvideopage.html)
- good luck for your exciting walk
I actually have not met you but i did meet your partner Nidia today at Cellular Sales Verizon in Savannah Georgia. To be completely honest when she came in i was really not having a good day to the point i was very short with most people and when she came in asked for my help i was really hesitant and i am sorry. I was able to help her and i really didn’t put forth the effort until she told me that she is walking across the country. Sometimes we forget that there are those people in the world that do work hard to help others for no other reason then to help others and i think at times we really forget that and also at times discouraged. I am glad that she came into the store to share her story with me. Thank you again and if you need anything please give me a call.
How do you manage to make even blisters seem like a blessing? The details of walking that make your journey valiant and generous continue to amaze me. Choosing where to pray…. I had hoped to write to you before you reached Richmond–but missed that deadline. This is my way to confirm you remain in my thoughts. Following your example, I’ve added prayer to the project of Walking Kansas. Thank you.
Joan
I think about you often and always pray for you to run into everyone the Lord wants you to meet and pray for…and it sounds like you always do. I love your daily entries and I love being the reader and not the writer this time. There are many times I wish I was there with you. I’m keeping in touch in prayer even if I don’t write often.
Much affection,
Wendy
Hi Lyn!! I had the pleasure of meeting you in Ridgeland, SC, and hope you are doing well. Please keep up your good works and pray for us all!!

Greetings Lyn. We first learned of you when our daughter Terri Knorr of Atascadero, loaned us a copy of your Book. It has been a real blessing to read, and now to follow your walk journal. Our prayers for your safety continue as your current walk progresses. Blessings! Dale (Santa Cruz, Ca.)
Hey, It’s Melanie! The woman who tried to walk with you!wanted you to know we think of you all the time!take care…Weldon & Melanie Nesbitt.
I met one of your partners in ministry at IHOP this morning, Darl F. and she was telling me of the victory and success of your walk across America. I just want to thank you for taking time to literally walk across this land and pray for the country. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I will keep in touch and be praying for you as well. God bless you.
I’m sorry about all the discouragements this week. But soon you’ll look back on this and feel like it really doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. This walk of yours is dedicated to the Lord and HE will tell the story as He decides.
Press on,
Sue and Jim in Cyprus
It was great having the opportunity to hear about your journey as you spoke at our church last night, Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church. I started reading your book this morning and I am really enjoying it. My husband and I are thrilled to know that there are so many christians who are praying for our nation. We do live in a nation that is in moral decline and we need all the prayers from all the christians. We also need the prayers for this election year. May God bless you for carrying this message across the nation.
It was a pleasure meeting with you and your son on Sunday, June 22nd, at Calvary Baptist in Emporia, VA. My granddaughter, Lila Saige, was one of the babies dedicated that Sunday. I hope you have a safe and well trip to Maine and keep on praying for us and we all will keep praying for you and your son as you make your way to the end of this trip.
We wish you safe walking for the rest of your East coast trek and any further adventures you take on. After hearing so much about you from Cindy, it was great to make your acquaintance.
This is a wonderful site. It is touching, personal and well put together. I have tremendous respect and pride in you folks who served in the USMC and in Vietnam. I pray for you all and want you to know you are the true heroes of that generation. Thank you for service and sacrifice. There are many of us who remember you.
“INto victory will our ways go an ,when we will follow Jesus. through of storms and of the fight behind will shine the harbor of peace in safe.In ways of heaven the peoples of the Lords will walk in the light of the words.”

Dear Lyn & Russ,
I am glad that I have able to help you on your walk through New York City. After my talk with Russ about travelling through “The Bronx” , I feel good about being a American. May your journey reach the goals you have set. If you have questions while travelling through Westchester County feel free to call.
Wow, a marathon! Very impressive. I am still feeling blessed that your misfortune in Mount Olive was our good fortune to have the opportunity to meet you and to hear you speak in our church. Though the video was not perfect, I hope that it was good enough to serve your purpose. Be safe (and skunk-free) and God bless you and your purpose!
Lyn, Connee and Russ,
We have been reading your journals for July and have found them very interesting. We were in the area that you are getting into in 1992 when we took our six week vacation after I retired from Stanford Univ. We found the area to be very beautiful and we know that you will find it beautiful as well.
We wish Connee a happy birthday.
We are praying for all of you for health and saftey as you continue on your journey.
God Bless
Jerry and Gail
Thanks for the post
Hi, Thank you for touching so many of my co-workers at the hospital the other day. This hospital is on my daily prayer list to draw these nurses, doctors, and all ancillary staff to know Jesus. This is yet another way God uses everything for His Glory, God Bless you, Dan
Yay! Interesting.
Lyn - I awoke in the night with you in my thoughts and just had to check in to see how you were. Praying for you everyday! Don’t let the rain get you down, God may just be watering you so you can have a new growth cycle!
Be Blessed!

Dear Cousin Lyn,
I’ve been following your Journal since July and it is addicting! I just can’t go to bed at night until I’ve read about each day’s adventure that God has brought you through. Even your smallest activities are interesting and it’s exciting to read of your reliance on God. Even when there are unplanned delays, you still praise Him!
I have fond memories of seeing you in July 2004, when you were walking through Daytona Beach, Florida. Husband Ike and I had such fun sharing dinner and visiting with you, and then enjoying your presentation at White Chapel Church. What a special treat that was to experience in person!
We’re praying for your continued safety as you near the end of your GAP walk. And looking forward to news of your next journey and seeing you back in California!
Much love to you, from Janice and Ike.
Dear Lyn - so glad you were able to make the date correction to my previous comment. Thank you! Keep up your energy and smiles! With God’s blessings to you and Bonny,
Love, Janice
Hello Lyn!!
I met you today on the road. I am now checking out your site. I feel inspired by your effort. May God Bless you and keep you. Is there going to be a ceremony in D.C. when you arrive? It would be great to attend, or even hear you speak (after some well deserved rest!!)
Will you be doing speaking dates?
Dan

Sorry I missed you when you were in Saratoga a while back; I was out of town. On your treks, do you ever get to stop for a concert or play? Stay warm and well and come home soon. I’m praying for you and for our leaders during these tough times. Take care.
Hi Lynn
I just saw the interview on the Christian News, it is so inspiring what you do. Thank you for standing in the gap, thank you for been willing to take action in seeking the favor of God for our county. May The LORD bless you and keep you, may the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
Dear Lyn,
I have been reading your journal and it is very interesting. Through your journal it is another way for me to have the Lord closer in my life. I truely am blessed for discovering your journal. I cant sing the praises to it enough. I have read a lot of it and it has brought me closer to God by your spreading of the Gospel. I know Jesus is always watching over us and protecting us, because of His unconditional love for us all. I have true faith and I always try to do what he commands us so that I will be safe for Heaven.
The Lord brings us closer together as human beings, as long as we have Him close to our heart and pray everyday to keep us staying close to Him. And, the Lord shows himself to us in many ways. He gives us a whole new meaning to life and can turn a bad situation into pure joy. That is the joy of the Lord and how He shows himself to us, within our heart and His heart.
Thank you for spreading the Gospel. It is truely inspiring and I am blessed to have found this site and journal and I hope if there is someone who hasnt yet been touched by the Lord, I pray that they will read your journal and make it so.
God Bless you my sister in Christ, my prayers are with you.
Chris
