This is a guide to Lyn's Journals . These are the detailed events of each day. Read through them and see what happened each day. This is another way to EXPERIENCE the Great American Journey.

I have been having problems getting the pictures to come over to the website with the Journals. I'll probably try to set up links to an outside Photo Album site. For now, go to the "links" page and go look at some of Samantha's pictures.
May, 2003 The Great American Journey started at the Peace Arch at the USA-Canada border at Blaine, Washington, on May 12, 2003. May saw the Team get as far as Twisp, Washington.
June, 2003 June was a hard month with many delays due to van problems. The Team finished Washington state on June 30.
July, 2003 In July the Team completed Idaho and entered Montana. They got as far as Canyon Creek by the end of July.
August, 2003 Montana is a LONG state. Lyn's son, Russ, visited the Team for about a week. By the end of August the Team was still 98 miles, and 9 days from crossing over into Wyoming.
September, 2003 The Team completed Montana and entered Wyoming on September 9. On September 16 they spoke at a Christian school assembly. Meridith Lewis (Paso Robles Bible Church) visited the Team for about a week to cook some special meals for them. Dave (Lyn's husband) visited the Team for a week in the Gillette, Wyoming area. The Team completed Wyoming on September 29 233.4 miles in Wyoming), and entered South Dakota on September 30.
October, 2003 The Team completed South Dakota on October 7, and entered Nebraska on October 8. Their mileage to October 15 was 1,577.5 miles. Now that they are out of the higher elevations, higher temperatures, and and on flatter ground, they are making more miles per day. They have had five or six straight days of 20 miles per day.
May, 2004 The team visited Maranatha Baptist Church on May 9, 2004 and had picture taken with President Jimmy Carter and Roselyn Carter. They finished Georgia on Monday, May 24 and reached their last state - Florida.
