Wednesday & Thursday - October 29 & 30, 2008
Day - 238 & 239

Wednesday was the day we left South Bend, IN and headed for
Mounds View, MN. But first I had a 9:00 am interview with a
radio station in Cedarville, OH. This was a second station in that
city within a week. I really enjoyed this interview by phone.
Our travels Wednesday took us through more of Wisconsin, and
finally into Minnesota. We had hoped for more color, but I
think that the places we’ve been on this journey just aren’t
getting the good color this year. Not to say we haven’t seen any
color, but it’s just not the real bright fields and hillsides of color
that they often have.
When we arrived in Mounds View, MN we got to see two of our
great-grandchildren - Chase (1 year) and Rose (2 weeks old),
We also got to see their mama and daddy, Sam and Chip, and
our daughter, Alyce-Kay, as well as her two younger children,
Kitty and JonMichael.
Dinner was soon after we arrived, and we had a good visit while
we ate. After some more visiting we all headed to our rooms for
the night.
Then today we got up and had a late breakfast, followed by
some time on the computer trying to get caught up with
bookkeeping. I did some laundry with Kitty’s help, and then we
gals and Chase walked to the library. Well, Chase and Rose rode
in the double stroller that was given to them.
At the library Kitty and Alyce-Kay picked out a few books, and
some of us played with Chase and the Lego blocks on a rug with
a large USA map. It was really nice. Chase “went across
America” several times, resting in different states along the way.
Finally we headed to the park where Chase and Kitty sat on the
Merry-Go-Round while JonMichael pushed it. The also did the
swings. I got a few pictures of them, and also of some trees and
their leaves.
Back at the house I continued on my bookkeeping. After Chip
got home from work we had dinner, and time with the kids. I
played a game with Kitty and JonMichael. Sam and Chip had an
event to go to, and Kitty babysat Chase. They took Rose with
them.
Now I’ve done the journals, and must take care of my e-mail
before getting to bed.
