GAP WALK JOURNALS - VIII
Sunday - October 19, 2008 Day 228
Walking Days - 106 Cumulative miles 1832.7
This morning we got up and packed up our things, and got them
out to the van. Once we had Lady Mag loaded up, we headed
out for Falls Church, VA where we had breakfast at IHOP.
Then we went to McLean Bible Church where we saw Rich
Parke again (he is on the pastoral staff there). After church we
met him for lunch.
I tried to get in touch with Dale and Diane (my nephew and his
wife) both yesterday and today, but they must be out of town or
something. So we didn’t get to see them again.
Austin was with us and we then took him to the Metro Station
where he rode to Union Station to board the train. He has a train
change in Chicago with about a five hour layover. Then on to
Minnesota.
Next we were off to Fredericksburg, VA where we are staying
with Pieter and Cindy again (where Russ and I stayed one week
while walking that area). It was about 4:30 when we arrived.
After visiting awhile we went to Olive Garden for dinner
together. It was a great evening.
Back at their place we sat and visited before going to bed.
