Today we got up and out heading for Hackettstown, NJ for an
11 a m meeting. We met with Bonny and two pastors and had a
great time of sharing.
Then from there Dave and I went to a little town called Little
Ferry to find the house of a possible cousin (this is part of his
genealogy searching). We did find the house, but she wasn’t
home. We drove around the area a little bit just to see what it
what like. This town is right by Newark.
After a stop at Starbucks we headed back toward Hackettstown
where we going to be sharing with a group that Bonny and her
friend, Marilyn, got together. I think we counted 14 people
including Dave and me.
This was a brand new presentation using pictures from the GAP
Walk that I am now on. I actually had a few pictures from the
Great American Journey that I shared first, and I still included
the usual three songs - “America! America!” - “Great Is Thy
Faithfulness” - and “Heal Our Land.”
As we started some wanted to know if they could ask questions
as we went, so we had to decide what to do about that.
Questions during the presentation always mean a longer
presentation. I don’t mind it going longer, but I wanted to be
sure it was ok with everyone else, and it was. It was fun, but it
probably did double the time. They were an excellent audience.
When all was finished and we finally had to say good-night to
everyone and head on our way. It was about 11 p m when we
finally were able to get to bed.
